Housekeeping does not respect the do not disturb sign and keeps buzzing until you open the door. I put out the sign because I was tired and needed to sleep.
Upon check out I was charged €29 for use of the pools. Not for the sauna, but the regular pools. This was not informed about at any point before I ordered and pre-paid the rest of the stay. Regardless of whether or not I actually used them. At no point was my identity taken as I entered the pool area. Leaves a sour taste and frankly ruins the overall impression.
The rooms do not have a fridge, which would normally be present in this price class for a three star hotel.
Big complex located a bit outside Montegrotto (but you can walk to the shops - mainly clothes and shoes), in a parc with free parking. The room had a good size, bathroom also. Very small tv and not efficient Wi-Fi in the room, it keeps disconnecting you which is not compatible with professional work requirements and activities). We had half board and took the dinner. Very loud dinner room, we had more than 250 other guests all eating at the same time. The serving team are doing their best to serve the tables quickly and navigate through the tables with their trolleys. Vegetarian choice is very restricted. The food isn’t bad but it’s not gastronomic level. Breakfast buffet is large with nice choice, almost American breakfast style. For breakfast the guests have free access to the food, but don’t wear plastic gloves. Face mask are mandatory in the hotel at all time. The pools are large and there are defined times for bubbles and water massage. There is no promotion to save water and ecological actions with towels, but they give one tiny soap for 2 nights and 2 guests. For the cures and fango massage you need to go through medical assessment (28€). It’s definitely a 3*, trying to cope with large groups of guests. Free parking on site is nice.
Old school spa hotel with aging German guests. The hotel definitely will have to reinvent itself to stay alive. However, its proper and was an interesting one night stay over.
I’ve spent 12 christmas here with my family, and next year we are coming back once again. Food is really exquisite and you get plenty of it. there are 3 swimming pools with water at 38°C where you can relax. The stuff is always there to fulfill all of your needs.
Great location, in a quiet place near cycle and walking paths, very near the centre and 10min walk from the railway station.
Rooms and the hotel itself, as well as all the pool areas, are exceptionally clean.
Restaurant service is fantastic, with a great choice of healthy and delicious meals.
Staff is always ready to help.
I have stayed in other hotels in Montegrotto many times, and would confidently say that this hotel is the best value for money, and certainly one of the best in terms of service.
Will definitely book again.
A spa hotel with nice thermal water pools (high in bromides), reasonable food, a nice tennis court.
It is an awesome place for relaxing. I felt very good treated by the servant who took care of me due the fact that I am a vggie and he always made sure that I could eat vegetarian things - by the way, it tasted good! Relaxing zone, friendly personal.
A bit isolated from center city, large hotel with spa and treatment facility. Breakfast buffet has a nice variety of food offerings. Staff is friendly. Pools are nice and clean. Depending on the room the bathroom can be tight. Difficult to sleep past 7.30am as the cleaning starts. Onsite parking available. 20 min walk into city center and train station (40 min ride to Venice St Lucia).
